We are all finished for the 1st month of the season (Sep). I am pleased to announce the Divisional winners for September each winning £10 are:

Division 1 – Tom Westerman
Division 2 – Simon Knight

Division 3 – Paul Ralley
Division 4 – Colin Shaw
Division 5 – Jay Baltruschat

Division 6 – Bob Sear

Division 7 – Chris Weller

Division 8 – Ian Clasby

Division 9 – Colin Spratley

You can view the final league results for September, the new leagues for October, and the current Order of Merit leader board on the attached spreadsheet.

Please note that the October leagues will finish on Saturday 11th November.

I had a number of players this month advising me that they had not received any responses to texts or emails sent to opponents. Please ensure you make “Every effort” to arrange your matches with your other league players. This is a 2 way thing and you may need to be flexible on playing times and days to ensure it’s fair to everyone. It also makes it far harder for me to finalise the leagues when there are unplayed matches.

The Gareth Payne Memorial Handicap Tournament

Some advance notice that I am planning to schedule this handicap 1 set shootout k/o tournament for Saturday 4th November to start at 3.00pm. Please pencil the date in your diaries and nearer the time I will be asking for confirmation of those planning to play so I can prepare the tournament. It’s normally a lot of fun and you get to play a number of 1 set handicap matches in leagues followed by semis and a final.

 Club Championship & Plate 2017

I am hoping to get this drawn this week ready to go up on the notice board next weekend. This season I am amending the format slightly, the Championship will be contested by the top 24 players (based on our club team rankings) and the remaining players from the internal leagues (approx. 25) will be automatically entered straight into the Plate tournament. This is to hopefully speed up the tournaments and slightly reduce the number of rounds required.
